1946
Suburban these cars were very popular as taxis in large metropolis and also great for large families, The luggage rack on the top is factory original and is complete. The fog light that is attached to the middle of the grill looks to be mounted between the teeth not through them. Grille condition is pretty good with only minimal pitting, has one huge spotlight on the drivers side, was this car used for hunting trips? Upholstery appears to be original as is the wooden door panels as these cars were meant for a more utilitarian function to take the wear and tear. There is an after-market tissue dispenser mounted under the right side dash. Car looks very solid and I suspect original. No majors body damage noted but one rocker sill molding is pushed in on the passenger side and will need straightened as these long wheel base ones are hard to find. Right rear door window crank is broken. Has correct original suburban interior lights, Drivers side gooseneck cowl mirror. Cowl mount antenna is bend to conform around the spotlight. Dual heaters, clock 7-button radio 76,018 miles showing on the odometer. These were expensive models when new and they were produced in very limited numbers so finding one this nice is not easy to do.

My opinions and descriptions?

All of my opinions and descriptions of these cars are just that "opinions" I do not guarantee anything for accuracy so take it all with a grain of salt and look at the pictures (and videos soon) when placing bids on these cars at the auction. Do not come back to me crying that the car was not perfect because my description of nice varies from yours! I provide these images and descriptions as a public service only, I do not own nor have I owned Any of these cars I was just a friend of the collector that amassed them and a Desoto collector and fanatic not seeking treatment! Also I am a terrible typer and not an english major so there will be lots of typos. .
